Traces of the Past showcases the work of the Archaeolandscapes project, of which the Discovery Programme is a partner.  Other Irish partners include University College Dublin School of Archaeology, Landscape & Geophsysical Services Ltd., and the Rathcroghan Visitor Centre.

To create the exhibition, Archaeolandscapes partners from all over Europe submitted examples of the their work to the Discovery Programme, who in turn, hired two exhibition designers, Ian McCarthy and Ciaron Fitzpatrick, to bring the images together.  The result is therefore born of collaboration, much like the Archaeolandscapes project itself.

The exhibition has been organised by The Discovery Programme.  The beauty of this exhibition is that  it can travel all over Ireland and Europe.  The panels can be shared with our heritage partners in Ireland, but the digital exhibition is due to move to other Archaeolandscapes countries where it can be translated and shared.  What a fitting way to celebrate Ireland’s forty-year membership of the EU!
